Dal Poggetto & Company LLP was formed on November 1, 1992 when Jon Dal Poggetto, partner in charge of the Santa Rosa office of Deloitte & Touche LLP, separated his practice from his former firm’s due to its decision to consolidate resources into its Oakland office. Our current structure provides organizations in the North Bay area with access to world class accounting services at rates that are competitive with other local firms. All of the initial members of Dal Poggetto & Company LLP have prior experience and training with the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP. However, the focus of our professional practice is in meeting the professional services needs of privately-held businesses, and our billing rates and structure have been established to meet those needs in a service-oriented yet cost-effective manner.
We have patterned our audit and accounting practice after the positive aspects of the audit practices of the Big Four accounting firms, based on the experience of our managing partner, who was the partner in charge of auditing for Deloitte & Touche LLP and its predecessor firms in Santa Rosa for nine years prior to the formation of our firm. We maintain the high quality of our practice by ensuring that all staff receive at least 80 hours of formal technical training each year. This training policy greatly exceeds the requirements for licensure by the State Board of Accountancy as well as the policies of other accounting firms. We are also a voluntary member of the Private Companies Practice Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, which was established to ensure the consistent quality of audit services provided by accounting firms through a mandatory peer review process. We successfully completed the most recently required review of our audit practice and received the highest possible affirmation as to our compliance with stringent quality control standards.

Our tax personnel enjoy a fine reputation for tax planning for S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and their shareholders, partners, owners and key executive personnel.
